I agree with Frank. Those plastic pieces can be replace with FACTORY STEEL but not aftermarket. It's no different from replacing the internals and mag catch on a G17 with the parts from a G34.

I stand corrected on the trigger and magazine catch but I still think you are stuck with the plastic guide rod. The rule says no "Guide rods made of a material different from the factory part it...

guess I could live w/o the hammer and guide rod. Thanks for the data.

Jim, you're not getting the point in any manner at all. The 92/96 FS/G/D series was and is (in some instances such as the previously indicated recent Inox imported 92FS from Italy) are still being...

It is my contention that the ban on replacing the guide rod with another material is based on the rod that came in THAT GUN. Doesn't matter what the next one off the assembly line had, I repeat, the...

"Any other Beretta questions? " Sure...thanks for asking. In the rulebook it states "no external modifications" but makes an exception for sights. Can I send my Beretta 92 slide to Novak and have them...

Jim, On the synopsis that you postulate, that being of that gun and the factory part being replaced in that gun, let me run an actual occurrence up the flagpole and see if you'll salute this one. An...

the two sticking points that still exist are the guide rod and hammer. Most that have responded state that both are o.k. because the gun can be had with or without a steel guide rod and the hammer is...

If they are factory parts then you should be good to go. CZ produces Competition hammers & triggers for their 75B/85C series as well as for the SP-01 that represent legal replacement parts for...

I regularly use my '86 made 92F in competition. It has all the steel parts mentioned including the steel guide rod as standard. The plastic parts don't bother me and it is my understanding that new...

I wouldn't worry about it. Unless the SO has a book listing serial numbers on what each gun came with and did not come with he has no ground to stand on on the subject. If a Beretta 92_____ (fill in...

My thoughts....If it was a stock part on the gun then it should be allowed! Glock guys get all the stuff...Peace

The 92/96 guns destined for the police have metal parts in them not plastic.

Bob, thanks much on the feedback on the CZ75/85 parts legality questions. Just one more reason (besides a darn near match on the "natural fit" of the CZ75 design for me) why the CZ75 design is an...

That was not a normal production item on the 92/96 line and additionally was never offered as an "option" for the regular 92/96 configuration. I don't recall the actual Beretta production order number...
